Pabellón ENDESA

The ENDESA pavilion is a self-sufficient solar prototype installed in the Barcelona marina, within the framework of the BCN Smart City International Congress. For one year it will be used as a control room for testing and monitoring a series of projects related to intelligent energy management. The pavilion is the prototype of a multi-scale construction system. A façade composed of modular components, such as the solar brick, that respond to photovoltaic use, solar protection, insulation, ventilation, lighting… The same parametric logic to adapt façade geometries to the specific environmental requirements for each point of the building. The façade opens reacting to the solar path, being active and permeable to the south, while it is protected and closed to the north. The behavior of this skin makes visible the environmental and climatic processes that surround the prototype.
